Animal welfare
All care should be taken when conducting trapping programs. The welfare of trapped animals is paramount.
Traps left out over night must be checked as early as possible and should not be subject to direct sun.
Approach and move traps containing trapped animals with slow gentle movements so as not to cause undue stress or panic.
If in the event a feral species is caught, ensure it is euthanized in the appropriate manner to reduce stress to the animal as much as possible.
